WHY I WROTE THIS SONG
I wrote “Unapologetically Me” because I’ve spent a lot of my life making choices that didn’t always make sense to other people. Career moves, the way I think, the way I speak, the rooms I walk into, even the parts of me people notice before they know me. I’ve been the last one invited, the one who stood out, and the one who sometimes made myself smaller so somebody else could feel bigger. But none of that made me want to be somebody else.
And this song is for anybody who has ever felt that same pressure. Anybody who has looked in the mirror and had to remind themselves, “Yeah, this is me.” No apology. No explanation. If you hear your own story somewhere in mine, then I want this song to make you feel that little spark inside and say, “Yeah. Me too.” Be who you are—fully.
